Premiership Snub!

The title says it all, after sending out all the details for our Wake Up appeal the responses are flooding back. Unfortunately, it seems the administrative staff in these clubs are too arrogant to realise the impact of their decisions! Most of them wish us success and luck with our fundraising.

 NO – Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham, Liverpool ?  YES – Manchester United.

We have NOT asked for any money and the success of the project is completely dependent on the voices we have, otherwise it fails dismally, and I am not going to disappoint thousands of children and patients in minimally conscious states all other the world!

When announced we would do this we received and still are thousands of emails from all other the UK and the world. The most popular celebrity asked for was David Bowie, unfortunately we have been unable to get in touch with him. 

We have had a fantastic response from the A List, including Johnny Depp! To satisfy the most response and make the project viable we thought the premiership clubs would not hesitate to help out as it was a once only task and that they could direct all future enquiries to us. With 20 clubs of 20 players plus managers we would have near 500 video messages which would help an awful lot of people and therapists all over the world. the response to Wake Up was hugely positive but I was not prepared for the official premiership snub!

I find it mind boggling that these clubs with all there money and media resources, that a player can not sit down for 10 minutes and record our commands and message. What is more saddening, is that the players don’t even know and the decision is being made by the PR depts up and down the country.

What we do know is that if presented to the players themselves they go through all sorts of hoops to do it!!
